About High Flyers:

"My name is Michelle Powell and I have been the director at this center since January 15, 2007. I have accumulated 21 years of experience in assisting individuals with the acquisition of basic needs skills, which facilitates proper growth and development personally and socially.

I devoted my first 10 years of service to special-needs adults and am currently in my 11th year working with children. After four years with Playcare, Inc., I still continue to feel excitement about my profession and our center.

Child care appeals to me for two basic reasons. I believe that a child’s growth and development depend on interactions with the environment as well as interactions with parents, family, teachers and other children.

I and my staff seek to ensure a friendly, nurturing, educational and healthy environment along with displaying and promoting a loving, caring, confident and protective atmosphere. These factors facilitate a child’s well-being physically, emotionally, cognitively and socially.

Our master teachers have degrees or credentials in early childhood. They and the rest of our highly trained staff have one to 25 years of experience working with children.

If you seek a nurturing, friendly, healthy educational environment for your child, then I truly believe that High Flyers will meet your high expectations. We have an open-door policy and would love to have your family come in for a tour of our center to learn more."
