Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Smart Start#2. My name is Kathi Dunaway and I have been the Director at this location since April 1991. I have a Child Development Associate, Certificate of Mastery from Western Oklahoma State College, Director’s Certificate of Completion and I am currently pursuing my Early Childhood Associate from Western Oklahoma State College. I have 22 years of experience in early childhood programs ranging from infants to Schoolagers. I am very excited about working for Playcare, Inc.

Part of what I love about being a director is Meeting new people and talking to them and being able to help them in any capacity that I can, whether it’s a family crisis or just lending an” ear”. Helping children experience the world around them and reaching a new goal in their life is very rewarding for me and also for the child.

We have a great team of teachers here at our school that are also committed to our students. They range in experience from one year to twelve years. Everyone on our team supports one another, which makes our atmosphere a friendly loving one.
