emphasis on early childhood education. Playcare has five Smart Start Early
Childhood Educational facilities that are Nationally Accredited by the National
Early Childhood Program Accreditation Commission and are rated Three Stars for

the highest quality rating a facility can achieve. The Lawton School-age
Clubhouse is Playcare’s facility devoted exclusively to children k-6th
grade. The “Clubhouse” is nationally accredited by the National After school
Association and is rated three stars by the Oklahoma DHS. All Playcare programs
and practices meet or exceed the state of Oklahoma’s guidelines for childcare
licensing. Playcare, Inc. has been a leader in Early Childhood
Education in Southwest Oklahoma for over 20 years caring for approximately 800
children per day. Highly trained and experienced teachers and staff provide a
loving, warm, nurturing environment: a place where children engage in fun
activities that are age appropriate and designed to help them learn, grow and
develop the skills that they will need in the journey of life. Teachers are
carefully selected based on their skills, temperament and ability to effectively
guide each child’s learning and development. Master teachers are certified and
have either a CDA, CCP, AA or BA in early childhood education. Continuous
training programs emphasize practices that promote self-directed, spontaneous
learning and health and safety issues. All staff is certified in CPR and First
Aid to ensure the safety of all children in every classroom. Each center
director has obtained the National Administrator Credential from the National
Childcare Association and has either a CDA or Degree in Early Childhood
Development. Playcare takes great pride in the professional commitment of the
staff and teachers to the children and families in each facility. The health, safety and education of each child is
Playcare’s top priority. Each center offers opportunities to develop social and
recreational skills while providing many varied learning experiences. Each
classroom utilizes toys, playground equipment, reading materials, and carefully
researched educational curriculum which is most beneficial for the specific
needs of each age group. Communication between the staff and parents provides a
vital link for the growth and development of each child. When families and
caregivers work together the continuity for the child is enhanced. All Playcare
facilities have an open door policy to allow parents and prospective parents to
visit the facilities throughout the day. Every visitor must report to the main
office before proceeding to ensure the safety of the children. Playcare, Inc. believes a childcare center should be more
than just a babysitting service. Every child deserves a quality,
developmentally appropriate, individualized program within a healthy, safe,
educational environment regardless of income or ability. The needs of each
child and their family, whatever the economic circumstance, physical or mental
limitation, or diversity of the family unit, must be served. In order to meet
these goals Playcare accepts DHS childcare assistance, provides military and
multiple child discounts, employs staff members who speak Spanish and German and
work closely with Sooner Start and Lawton Public Schools to identify and work
with children with special needs. Playcare, Inc. is dedicated to the belief
that each child is the hope of the future and deserves to become an outstanding
citizen of tomorrow.
